Robert Charles “Bob” Johnson was born December 12, 1936 and passed away on July 23, 2010, at his home, after a lengthy illness. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, then proceeded with a career in Law Enforcement as an officer for Oklahoma City Police Department. After a few attempts at other careers, he opened his own security business. He retired from Action Security after 13 years, where he learned that law enforcement was his place in life. He is survived by wife, Carol Johnson of the home; children, Betsy Hernandez of Clinton, Terry Johnson of Lawton, Angela Poindexter of Tyler Texas, Steve Smith of Oklahoma City and a deceased daughter, Stephanie Parks; 12 grandchildren: Carrie, Amber, Zachary, Taelyr, Kayla, Chase, Shea, Tanner, Jacob, Dylan, Madison, and Julia; and 8 great grandchildren. Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman and trap shooter with many awards won. Memorial services will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
