Ricky Elton Freeman

Ricky Elton Freeman, 72, passed away on March 21st 2025 at the time Jesus called him home. He was the husband of Cathey. They shared 50 years of marriage in which was just celebrated on March 9, 2025. Rick and Cathey had three kids and he had one from a previous marriage. He was born in Topeka Kansas.

He was the son of Elton and Lizzie Bell Freeman. Rick graduated from Capitol Hill High School as a Redskin in 1971. He worked as a Salesman at Otasco, he was also an appliance technician and HVAC technician and just an all-around handyman. He was also just a straight-up servant, he loved serving people and doing what he could. Rick was a 32nd degree master mason. He was a member of Myrtle Lodge #145 of Oklahoma City. The last month of his life he attended church service. Rick shared of how he was personally touched by Jesus and how Jesus told him he was done.

He is survived by Cathey Freeman of Oklahoma City Oklahoma and their three kids Kevin and Jessica Freeman of Newcastle, Oklahoma, David and Christina Freeman of Norman, Oklahoma and Amy and Omar Arredondo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Also survived by his son Ricky D Freeman of Tulsa Oklahoma and his sister Cynthia Freeman of Yukon Oklahoma. Rick had 14 grandkids and eight great-grandkids. Rick loved to get on the floor and be with the kids. Rick was known as Pawpaw to all kids.

The funeral services will be held at Advantage Funeral Home 7720 S Penn, Oklahoma City March 25th 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing and visitation will be held on March 24th 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family would love to see all who would like to be there
