Richard Thrasher

Richard Lee “Dick” Thrasher passed peacefully on July 18, 2011. He was born June 2, 1937 in Maud, Oklahoma to Albert O. and Gladys Edmonds Thrasher. After graduating from Seminole High School he was married to Joyce Williams on September 17, 1956. They spent the next 3 years in Germany where he served in the Armed Forces. He then attended and graduated from Kansas State University. After many years in financial and insurance industry he retired in 2004. Dick enjoyed all sports. He was an avid fisherman and loved gardening. He is survived by his wife Joyce, of the home; son, Greg Thrasher of Oklahoma City; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Luke Drullinger of Edmond; four grandchildren, Kaleena, Jaimie, Jordan and Ashley; and one great grandchild, Aiden. He was preceded in death by both parents and brother, Jay Morton. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011 in the Guardian West Funeral Home chapel.
