Richard Paul Edwards Sr.

Richard Paul Edwards Sr. was born March 26, 1934 in Pollock, Missouri to Gerald and Evelyn (Cirksena) Edwards. During the Korean War he served our country in the United States Marine Corps. In October 1984 he married the love of his life, Rita Eileen Fry. In 2015 he asked Rita to marry him once more and they celebrated with a vow renewal ceremony. Throughout his life he enjoyed many hobbies that included woodworking, biking, motorcycling, pistol sharp shooting, camping and fishing.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Evelyn Edwards, Daughter, Patty Jo Poole, Son, Rich P Edwards Jr., his brother, Gary Edwards and great-grandson, Nova Edwards.

His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife Rita Edwards, Sons, Teddy J. Edwards, Michael R. Edwards and wife Marietta, Bradley L. Edwards and wife Laura, Daughter Mona K. Ferrell and Step-Daughter Michele Donner Ramsey and husband James, his daughter’s-in-law, Cindy L. Edwards and Kathy J. Edwards, a sister Betty Miller and brother, Frank Edwards. Richard was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service to be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Springs Church of Christ, 2526 NW 122nd Oklahoma City, Ok 73120.
