Born December 5, 1932 in Oklahoma City to parents John and Vivian Coyle, Dick attended schools in Oklahoma City, graduating from Classen High and Oklahoma University. After serving almost three years in the Air Force, two with combat control teams, Dick returned to Oklahoma City and spent a short time in the oil business and then joined the family’s development business.
A member of Christ the King Church, he was active in church life as well as civic and professional affairs. Dick is survived by Teresa Evans, fiancée, son Price and fiancée Pam Holliday, son Nolan and wife Christi, son Sean and wife Angela and their sons Andrew, James and Daniel, nephew John Coyle lll and family, niece Shannon Manning and family, other family and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son James Mitchel at birth, brother Bill and wife Katie and their sons Patrick and Michael, cousin Carolyn Berry, his sons’ mother Lelah Price Craig and other relatives and friends.
Dick died October 18, 2015 after a brief illness. A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8005 Dorset Drive, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2015.
