Reda Brazeel Black

Reda passed resting peacefully in her sleep on March 6, 2022.

She was born to George HC Higginbotham and Martha Jane Thrasher-Higginbotham. Reda had 9 brothers and sisters – Arthur Henry, John Buck, Clyde Henry, Thelma Pearl, Lillie May, Flora Dee, George, Freda Louise and Juanita “Mickey” who have all proceeded her in returning to our Heavenly Father.

Reda was married CE Ed Brazeel 47 years until his death, and they had 4 children. Merry Elizabeth (Bob Moses), Brent Lee (Linda) Brazeel, Renita Lynn (Mark Atterson) and Bryan Edward (Bryan preceded her in death). Reda married Melvin Black in 1993 and was blessed with 5 more adult children. Charlotte (Butch) McCulloch, Marlin (Rita) Black, Michael (Paula) Black, Carolyn (Tom Kupiec) and Sharon Moerlins. Reda was blessed with 28 grandchildren combined, and a host of Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.

A visitation will be held for Reda on Friday, March 11th, 2022 from 4-8pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm, Saturday, March 12th, 2022 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma.
