Rebecca Ann Walls

On July 28, 1953, Rebecca Ann Strange was born in Liberal, KS to Cecil Boone and Rosa Lee Strange (Roper). Rebecca attended Fort Hays State University and later moved to Oklahoma City where she started her career in banking with Guaranty Bank. Rebecca had one child, Jessica Rosann Sherrill (Smith), of Oklahoma City. Later, Rebecca married Ricky Lee Walls on January 17, 1992 in Oklahoma City. Rebecca was a loving “Nana” of Hill and Ainsley, children of Jessica and son-in-law, Jay.

Rebecca joined the Northwest Oklahoma City Rotary Club in 1996 where she served as Club President and was honored with several Paul Harris Fellows. She was the epitome of service above self and happily volunteered many hours with her Rotary club. She loved her cat, Trinity.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her sister, Gloria McDonald, and her brother, Carol Strange. Survivors include her husband, her daughter and son-in-law with her two grandchildren of Oklahoma City and nieces, Cathy Berryman and Dina Ekis-Johnson both of Kansas.`

A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, January 19th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Rotary Foundation at rotary.org/give.
