Philip Mansfield Barnes, 75, passed away on June 15, 2017. Philip was born on October 23, 1941 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Raymond Dozier and Thelma Cerella (Andrade) Barnes. Philip loved his family very much. He enjoyed listening to music, especially country and Hawaiian music. Philip retired from Tinker Air Force Base ALC in the early 1990’s. While working, he developed many long lasting friendships. After retiring, he was able to travel to his home of birth, Honolulu, as well as many other places. Philip was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Spencer Phillips; and brother-in-law, Johnny Hudson. Survivors include his sisters, Jerry Hudson and Barbara Cortez and husband Joel; uncle, Patrick Andrade and wife Barbara and Leonard Andrade and wife, Simone; best friend, Lani the Chihuahua; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other family members who will miss him dearly. Philip’s family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice. In particular, they would like to thank case manager, Brenda Hedgecock; social worker, Taryn Halferty; chaplain, Craig Thomas; aide, Ashton Stevenson; The Visiting Angels, Casey Graham and Angela Franco; Dr. Tanner McDaniel and his staff; and everyone who helped during this difficult time. Their service will always be remembered. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, OK.
