Patsy Ruth King was born July 7 1935, to John and Helen James, in Loveland, Oklahoma. Patsy was the youngest of four siblings, Lillian, Calvin, and Roy. Patsy married Jimmie King, the love of her life, and were happily together for over 68 years. It wouldn’t be until 1957, when they welcomed their only child, Douglas Howard King whom she adored very much.
Patsy served 38 great years of service with DHS here in Oklahoma, as a Computer Operations Supervisor. She ended her career there in 1987.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; John and Helen James, Brothers; Calvin James, Dwain James and Sister; Lillian Goins.
She is survived by her loving husband Jimmie Howard King and her only son, Douglas Howard King (Teresa Casselman.)
A visitation will be held at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Mercy Hospice in Patsy’s memory.
