Patricia Ann Wood

Patricia Ann Wood (Pat) was born on November 2, 1961 in Lawrence, Kansas to M. M. Lee and Virginia Martha (Cowan) Lee. As a child she lived in Lawrence, Kansas before moving to Oklahoma and going to Draughon School of Business for Fashion Merchandising. Once graduating, she went on to marry the love of her life Ken Ray Wood.

Pat and Ken were married May 20, 1989 and during their early years of marriage they had their son, Matt. Pat was a very loving, kind, compassionate person who valued spending time with her family and going bowling. In her eyes it was always a perfect day if she was spending it with her family, telling stories and joking around with her brother, Tom. Pat loved to reminisce in the past telling of old family bloopers and spending time with her son, Matt. Pat enjoyed going on walks, appreciating the beautiful scenery, spending time with her friends and listening to her favorite music, like contemporary Christian music, 70’s Classic Rock, she especially adored listening to The Carpenters.

While she worked for accounts payable/receivable, her real passion was sewing, and home economics. Her biggest professional accomplishment was graduating from Draughon School of Business for Fashion Merchandising, but what she was truly the most honored by was being a devoted wife and mother to her son.

Pat was a proud member of the girl scouts in her youth, as well as DECA, and in her later years became a beloved, proud member of Christ's Legacy Church.

Patricia Ann Wood said her final goodbye on December 19, 2023 at the young age of 62. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, as it was meant to be.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents M.M. Lee and Virginia Martha (Cowan) Lee and brother, Tom Lee.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ken Wood, their sons Matt Wood and her daughter-in-law Teaghan Wood, her sister Deborah Bannon and step sons Steven Wood of Bethany, OK, Jason Wood of Yukon, OK; as well as 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

Memorial donations are to be made out to American Lung Association.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162.

A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 10:30 AM, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A committal service will be Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
