Nancy was born February 16, 1954 in Oklahoma City to Melvin and Zella Mae (Balch) Potter. She attended The Maur Hill - Mount Academy in Atchinson, Kansas. After graduation she came back to Oklahoma to attend the University of Oklahoma. Nancy then decided to serve her country by joining the United States Navy, and was very proud of her service.
Nancy was a lover of all things nature. She enjoyed being outdoors, campfires and s’mores, water skiing, and camping. She was also a lover of music, most especially the 70’s era. She was an avid Sooner fan and had a huge place in her heart for all of her beloved pets throughout her life. Above all else, Nancy loved her family. Her son and her grandchildren were the light of her life, and everything she did was for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her and son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Rene Potter; grandchildren, Hadley and Nolan Potter; siblings, Lana Llewellyn, Melvin Potter, and Barbara Floyd; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11am Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Guardian West Funeral Home.
