Cleo was always pleasing other people. She was known as everyone’s grandmother. She worked as a cosmetologist and spent many years taking care of family members. She enjoyed collecting antiques—especially glassware—and frequently gave gifts to others who would then begin collecting, as well. She and her husband Jack spent many happy days together at the cabin he built in Wynnewood.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew “Jack” Cowan; son, Andrew Earl “Andy” Cowan; and siblings: Hubert, Ethel, Ralph, Irene, Christine, Earl, Frances, Minnie Cleo, and Joe.
She is survived by her son, Jackie Cowan & wife Lynne; daughter, Nancy Prykryl & husband Mike; daughter-in-law, Jewel Cowan; grandchildren: Boyd Cowan, Dallas Cowan, Jeff Cowan, Jennifer Oliver, Allison Smith, Christi Presley, and B.J. Grimes; step-grandchildren, Matthew Prykryl and Nancy “Nan” Prykryl; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; special nephew, Ron Asbury & wife Pauline; many other nieces, nephews, and family members; and special friend and neighbor, Jerry Ward.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home, OKC. Service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Resurrection Cemetery in OKC.
