He went to Star Spencer High School where he met and married Anita Cheatwood in 1961. They had 2 sons, Tommy and Danny.
Mike retired from Tinker Air Force Base, where he was a jet engine mechanic.
He was always interested in cars and motorcycles, especially Harleys. He was riding his Harley up until a year ago when he became prisoner to his COPD on his 75th birthday.
He learned to play the piano quite well in school, but loved to play the guitar his whole life; teaching his son Danny to play. He was an avid Bob Dylan fan.
He led a full life of fun and loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his boys.
He was known for his quick wit and politeness. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
Mike was a praying man, who grew up in the church and knew the Lord as his personal Savior.
He is survived by his sons, Tommy and Danny and their spouses Rickey and Lisa; 2 brothers, Jonathan, and David and wife Sylvie. Grandsons, Austin and Dustin King; Granddaughters, Ashley and Katie King and Cheyanne and husband Aftahn Linn. Great-grandsons Hayden and Hudson Linn.
Nephews, Eric and Adam King and their families, and niece Daphne Young and her family. He is also survived by Cousins Gary Miller and wife Janice, Joyce Castor and family and cousins Donna Gaye Harmon and family and family of the late Laura Mae Henry. Mike is also survived by his longtime sweetheart and friend, Walta Rollin.
