Mary Evelyn Wallin, 93, of Oklahoma City went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 26, 2013. As a member of the Greatest Generation, Mary was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 29, 1920. Mary graduated from Mt. St. Mary’s high school in 1938 as Valedictorian of her class. She attended Hills Business College and worked for the Department of Agriculture until WWII. She worked as a civil servant during the war and retired after many years of bookkeeping at various C.R. Anthony stores. She is survived by Ollie “Jack” Wallin, husband of 72 years, daughter, Lani and her husband, Joe Sinclair of Vallejo, CA and their children, Brook and Thomas; son, Monty, and his wife, Nyla Wallin, of Oklahoma City and their children, Ronnie, Jeremy and Gigi; and six great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by family and remembered for creating a loving and nurturing home, for her candid sense of humor and for the beautiful afghans and crafts she made to give to loved ones. Mary was a devout Baptist and a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church and the BYKOTA Sunday School class where she enjoyed many lifelong friendships. The family is grateful to Robin and Jennafer from Visiting Angels, Yukon and to Tiffany from Right at Home. Visitation will be at Guardian West Funeral home from noon to 6pm on October 31. Family will be present from noon until 2pm. Graveside services will be held at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, OK on Friday, November 1 at 10 am.
