Mary Lucille Short

Mary Lucille Short, age 94, passed away on June 18, 2017 in OKC to be with Jesus and her family. “Lindy,” as she was known by her loved ones, was a retired employee of TG & Y. She was also an ordained minister of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Mary had resided at the Grace Living Center at SW 55th & Agnew for the last nine years. She spoke lovingly of those who cared for her. Also, accolades go out to Good Shepherd Hospice for the care and comfort given to Mary in her last days. God’s blessings to those who visited Mary and brightened her life. “Lindy” was preceded in death by her parents, Omar David Sr. and Lula Short; siblings, Velma White, Katie Davis, Rosa Sadler, Juniva Finnel, Junita Long and Omar David Short, Jr. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Services will be 10 am Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Dumas Avenue Baptist Church, 3112 S. Dumas Avenue, OKC. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Edmond, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dumas Avenue Baptist Church- Building Fund.
