Mary Etta Sherman

Mary Etta Sherman lived a wonderful life of 93 years being an entirely selfless homemaker, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born on St. Valentine's Day of 1925 and passed peacefully at home into the arms of God on December 3, 2018. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma City and shared 64 years of that with her loving husband, Lester Sherman, who preceded her in death in 2011. She is survived by her son, Dr. Randall Sherman (Maureen), daughter Diane Williams (Roger), five grandchildren Pamela, Steven and Timothy Williams, Claire Sherman, Hayley Katerski (Jon) and one great grandchild Mia Katerski. Mary Etta excelled in school, a valedictorian, and in any interest she pursued. She was a talented seamstress and always a resource for knowledge. Mary Etta presented herself with grace and dignity and expressed gratitude everyday for all of her blessings. When medical issues arose, her devoted children and grandchildren took care of her. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Jeffrey Floyd and his nurse, Cheryl, Baylie Ramey a caregiver, and Companion Hospice Care for doing outstanding work. There will be an at home private gathering for family and friends on Saturday, December 15th.
