Mary Ann Mikeska Hightower

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Betty Jean Mikeska, Margaret Rose Gill, and a brother, Vincent L. Mikeska Jr. She is survived by one sister, Mae Katherine Mings of Wilburton, Oklahoma, and by her daughter Judy Ann Mikeska of Santa Rosa, California, step children Bobby Hightower and Glenda Milton Sims and numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces.

Mary Ann had a love for music, had a beautiful singing voice, and played the piano and accordion from a very early age. She learned to play by ear and still loved to play all her life.

Mary Ann had a great sense of humor and was fond of all her friends. Mary Ann loved to be with her sister, Mae Katherine. If they were out together, she would always have something she would ask Katherine to carry for her. She always managed to purchase something that would better fit in Katherine’s purse or bag, joking that Katherine was her Bag Lady.

She faithfully attended Crossings Community Church and she rarely missed going to help and be with her church friends. She was in a Senior Group that met weekly to fold and put together church programs for the services.

Her loving memory will always be in the hearts of her family, friends, and especially her daughter Judy, whom she loved and cherished more than anything in the world.

Mary Ann’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper funeral home at 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
