Marilyn Sue Kinnamon

Marilyn Sue (Gilbert) Kinnamon passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on April 11, 2023. One of four daughters born to James Lawton and Eileen Marie Gilbert, Marilyn was born July 11, 1944 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She spent her formative years in Bethany, graduating from Bethany High School in 1962 where she was involved in cheer, student council, and yearbook.

Marilyn was a life-long member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene where she quietly served the Lord and others. She loved and knew every hymn in the book. Marilyn loved to read her Bible and was a woman of strong faith. She was always serving others.

Marilyn married James Lee Kinnamon on November 1, 1963 when she was 19 years of age.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 59 years, James Kinnamon of Bethany, OK, children Steve Kinnamon and wife Jayna of Newcastle, OK, Chelene Landis of Fort Worth, TX, and Andrea Stewart and husband Kenneth of Yukon, OK, sisters Margaret Farmer and husband Dennis of Yukon, OK, Martha Fast and husband Ben of Oklahoma City, OK, Mary Lankford and husband Tim of Waynesville, NC, grandchildren Erin, Eileen, David, Jacob, Makenna, Ellen, Anna, Madison, Colton, and Stewart, six great grandchildren, four nieces and two nephews and a host of cousins and church family.

A service to honor Marilyn will be Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with burial at 12:00 PM in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
