She was very social ad loved entertaining, giving large and lavish parties for her many and dear friends.
Her father’s side of the family included the Gatlin family known for the invention of the Gatlin gun invented in 1862. Her mother’s side of the family was known for merging the Peniel Nazarene College in Peniel, Texas with the Oklahoma Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma. The merger took place in 1920 and the name was changed to Bethany-Peniel Nazarene College. Today the name is Southern Nazarene University.
Deanie was also a driven and ambitious woman herself, working for many different oil and investment companies throughout her life. Among those would include: Harper Oil Company, C.L. McMahon, Inc., Mutual of New York, Cunningham & Co, Sarkeys, Inc., Wm. J. “Bucky” O’Connor, and Treadwell Developments all owe a debt of gratitude for her years of diligent bookkeeping and Landman’s skills.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Allison Standifer Hines and Irene “Lucille” Hines (Davey), and her sister Betty Lou Hines.
Deanie is survived by her son Kenny Chuculate, his wife Jamie of Edmond, Oklahoma, and granddaughter Holly Chuculate of Dallas, Texas.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK
