Lynn Oscar Reno, 85, of Oklahoma City, OK went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2010. He was born in Bethany, OK on January 27, 1925 to Oscar and Lillie Mae Downs Reno. Lynn graduated from Bethany High School, and then was drafted into the US Army Air Corp. at the age of 18. He served as a Aerial Mechanic Gunner during WWII from 1943-1945 in Central Europe. He re-enlisted in the Air Force in 1949 and served until 1951. He was a long time member of the Bethany Masonic Lodge since 1951 and served as the Worshipful Master in 1963. In 1953 he married Norma Trueblood. During their 54 year marriage they had 3 children. Lynn worked at Tinker AFB as a logistics engineer and retired in 1981. He was a devoted Charter Member, Deacon, and Sunday School Teacher, in various Baptist Churches in the area including Classen Blvd Baptist, Village Baptist and Quail Springs Baptist. Lynn was a lifelong lover of golf and after retirement he played regularly with friends and family. Lynn is survived by his children Christie Baker and her husband Tim of Oklahoma City, Scott Reno and his wife Ginger of Gualala, CA, and Craig Reno and his wife Carol of Eden Prairie, MN. Lynn is also survived by six grandchildren; Michelle Adams and her husband Robert of McKinney, TX, Brooke Reno of NYC, NY, Lauren Baker of Tulsa, OK, Catherine Baker of Washington D.C., Brent Reno of Eden Prairie, MN, and Sara Baker of Fort Worth, TX. Sister Alpha Mae Horn and her husband Howell Horn of Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Reno, parents and 5 siblings. A memorial celebration will be held to honor his life at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Friday, October 1, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. with a military burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank all the loving caregivers, nurses, and doctors who provided care and compassion during the last 3 years. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his honor to the Oklahoma Chapter Alzheimer’s Association.
