It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Louis Arnold Morgan, who departed from this world on August 19, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and countless cherished memories that will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Louis was born on June 28, 1939 to Lawrence Amzy Morgan and Eathel May Morgan in Oklahoma City. Louis exhibited a profound kindness, a quick wit and an infectious smile that could light up any room.
A passionate businessman, Louis dedicated his time and energy to his family’s business, City Carbonic LLC. Louis was the second-generation in the company’s 114-year legacy. His dedication and drive served as an inspiration to many, leaving a lasting impact on both his professional field and the lives he touched. Louis was a forward thinker and early adopter of many of the industries ground breaking technologies.
Beyond his professional achievements, Louis was a devoted family member and friend. He was a loving partner to Elizabeth Irene Morgan and a nurturing parent to Tammy Eskew, Phillip Eskew and Amy Morgan Bruecks. He had great affection for the two men who captured the hearts of his girls John Ray and Don Bruecks. His true pride and joys were his grandchildren, Hayley Goodger and husband Ryan, Jacob Bruecks and Clara Bruecks. He reveled in spending quality time with his family creating cherished memories during holidays, camping trips and Sunday family dinners.
Louis was a passionate inventor. He dedicated his time and energy to pushing the boundaries of innovation. His insatiable curiosity led him to develop patents on two solutions that improved the industry he loved. Louis was a member and former treasurer of the Oklahoma Inventors Congress.
As we mourn the loss of Louis Arnold Morgan, we remember him not with sorrow but with gratitude for the time we shared and the lessons and wisdom he imparted. His memory will live on through the stories we tell, the laughter we share, and the positive impact he made on our lives. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but also a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift us.
A memorial service to celebrate Louis’s life will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13313 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Amzy Morgan and Eathel Mae Morgan, his sister Marilyn Morgan and son Phillip Eskew.
