Lou A. Woodmansee Waters

Lou Waters, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, passed on to Heaven on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Lou was born in Oklahoma City and was graduated from Classen High School. Lou went to Lindenwood College for Women in St. Charles, MO her freshman year. She was a Chi Omega at the University of Oklahoma and also attended the University of Mexico in Mexico City. Lou taught preschool at Covenant Presbyterian Church and ran the concession stand for the Northside All Sports Association during years her sons played Little League Baseball and Football. She was Office Manager at Oklahoma Canning Company for her brother-in-law until retirement at age fifty. She loved her pets (babies) and home garden and fountains.

Lou was preceded in death by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Grant Woodmansee who were settlers in Oklahoma Territory and her great grandfather who was a member of the State Assembly of Oklahoma Territory, parents TJ and Helen Woodmansee, sister Martha W. Schroeder and brother-in-law Harry Schroeder. She is survived by husband Robert E. Waters, OKC, sons James Randel Waters, OKC, and Russell Robert Waters, Edmond, grandsons Josh Waters, OKC and Chad Waters, Stillwater, and nieces Susan Rutherford, OKC and Sally Goyette, Milwaukee, WI.

A Memorial Service will be held 1PM Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10100 Ridgeview Dr., OKC 73120.
