Lorand Roy Hurley, 90, passed away on November 24, 2019. Roy was born on July 22, 1929 in Stephenville, TX to Jesse Claud and Ada B. (Brooks) Hurley. Roy was very proud of his time that he served in the United States Army. He served during the Korean War but was not actually in the war. In 1951, Roy married Edith Lucille Yarborough and together, they had a child, Jacqueline Joy. Roy obtained his pilot’s license and loved flying Cessna’s as his hobby. Everyone in Roy’s family understood that he was a slow paced man and always on his own time and never in a hurry. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Claud, “Happy”, and Wayne. Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Edith Lucille Hurley; daughter, Jacqueline Joy Ditter; grandchildren, Travis Noblett and Rebecca Swinney; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members who will miss him dearly. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday November 27, 2019 at Worley Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
