Lora Velle Shahan

She was born 11-26-22, near Arnett, OK, the youngest of 10

children of Bill & Dora Shelton. She married the love of her life,

Lawrence Shahan, 8-23-41. They were blessed with 2 children.

Lora's primary passions were family, faith, music, & her pets.

She retired from the Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation. Lora was a kind,

serving & unselfish person who was loved by all who knew her. Although

her eyesight was limited, it never limited her, nor did she complain about it.

In high school, Lora sang in quartets and duets. She loved dancing and playing

the piano with the family band. Lawrence and Lora were always together, where

one was, the other was often found. Pepper was her last beloved pet.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, her siblings,

& daughter-in-law, Cheryl Shahan. She is survived by son, Sam Shahan of

Choctaw, daughter, Deena Palmer & husband, Orville Palmer of Midwest City,

11 grandchildren (Sammie Turek & husband, Mike, Whitney Bender

and husband, Jake, Ashley Barrett and husband Eddie, Sean Chambers

and wife, Amy, Cindy Chambers, Randy Palmer & wife, Cindy, Wayne Palmer

& wife, Lisa, Wade Palmer & wife, Amanda, Gary Sartain & wife, Melinda,

Sie Palmer, & Tori Spencer) 28 great grandchildren (Cassidy Bender & husband,

Josh, Sierra Blair, Cord & Cora Bender, Addison & Sydney Barrett, Conner &

Caden Chambers, Autumn, Miranda & Jonathan Rossiter, Alexis Santiago,

A'Seay Spencer, Alyvia and Roman Anderson, Dylan Palmer, Kyle, Kody &

Kory Palmer, Laney & Greyson Palmer, Derrick, Dane & Wade Palmer, Marc

& Brooke Pitman, Hannah and Josh Sartain) & 6 great-great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, 4-13-16, Douglas Blvd. United

Methodist Church. Interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
