Leonard "Mitch" Mitchell

Mitch graduated from U.S. Grant High School and was a 30 year veteran of the Oklahoma City Fire Department. He was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for his brothers and sisters at the fire stations as well as his family. He was an avid OU Sooner football fan and never missed a game. Mitch was a wonderful husband, daddy and PaPa.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Jesse. Mitch is survived by his wife Deborah of the home; his children Kevin Mitchell and wife Carrie, Tami Mitchell, Kenny “Bud” Morris and wife Lisa, Brian Morris and wife Jennifer; 12 grandchildren Dustin Stephens, Kyle Mitchell and wife Stephanie, Dana Stephens, Christopher Mitchell, Shane Bonds, Emilee Morris, Daniel Cole (D.C.) Morris, Taylor Morris, Ryan Morris, Sam Morris and Connor Morris; 1 great grandson Diego Orion (Possom); brother Jimmy Mitchell and sister Julia Watts. He will be greatly missed by all.

Viewing will be at the funeral home on Saturday and Sunday from 8am-9pm. Funeral service will be 2pm, Monday, September 19, 2011 in the Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel.
