Leon Clifford Crosson, 94, of Edmond, OK, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024. Born in Fairfax, OK on November 28, 1929. Leon dedicated his life to his family and his country, serving honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Leon's career spanned several decades at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, where he retired as a manager. Leon was a passionate outdoorsman who loved fishing, traveling, and camping, sharing many adventures with his family and friends. In his later years he was an avid reader and wrote many short stories. A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, Leon's legacy is carried on by his daughter Tamara and husband Terry Wood of Arcadia; granddaughters Teresa Wood of Edmond, Tara Wood, Tracey Harkess and her husband Benjamin Harkess of Oklahoma City; and grandson Larry Wayne Crosson Jr. of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary Louise Combs Crosson, sons Larry Wayne and Steven; his parents, Earl and Mildred Crosson; brothers Lex, Loren, Don, and Larry Crosson; and sister Lois Bacher.
A funeral service to celebrate Leon's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Advantage Funeral Home, 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City, OK.
