She married Pete Stavros September 11, 1955 and they enjoyed many years of traveling together.
Lela was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed her hobbies of working puzzles, crocheting and crafts of all kinds.
She was a longtime member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church and Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers. She worked 30 years as a steno and district secretary in the traffic department of the telephone company.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pete Stavros, her parents, brothers Elbert and Calvin, sisters Edna Ludwig, Mamie Randall, Vina Sammons, and Rubye Vehon, and niece Loretta Smith.
She is survived by her brother Doyle McEntire and wife Catherine, 9 nephews and 3 nieces.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pete and Lela Stavros Scholarship Fund: P.O. Box 1146, Oklahoma City, OK 73101.
