After graduating from US Grant in 1959, Larry heard his nations call and joined the US Navy honorably serving his country. Once separated from the Navy he worked in a print shop for 33 years and also was a handy man by trade.
Larry was active with the boy scouts/cub scouts for 41 years, coaching the baseball team for over 15 years. He found joy in traveling, especially going on cruises, camping, watching westerns, doing puzzles, and he was also an avid reader. Above all else, Larry loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved taking Kent rock hunting, fishing with Chris, and watching Craig perform. He made a point to take all the kids to Robbers Cave every summer, building memories and sharing life lessons around the bonfire. Larry's faith was very important to him. He and Charlene were members of Southern Hills Methodist Church for over 15 years.
Larry is survived by his wife, Charlene Lee; children, Kent Lee and wife Iris, Chris Lee and wife Michelle, and Craig Lee and wife Katy; grandchildren, Chelsey Lee, Cody Lee, Josiah Lee, Krysten Booker and spouse Jarrel, Kevin Pickup, Kenzie Lee, and Zoe Lee. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Delpha Thompson.
