Brother Larry was the most caring, Loving person you could ever find. He left a vacant spot in The Gideon Ministry that is impossible to fill. 

So sorry to hear of Larry's passing...he will definitely be missed here at Mercy Coletta Lab. 

Larry always remembered my birthday (March 1st) because he told me one of his granddaughters shared the same birthday. He was such a sweetie!!

Prayers for the family!!

We are so sad for the Aspegren family and all who knew and loved Larry that we will not see him again on earth.  But we rejoice that we know we will see him again and it will be such a glorious time!  So thankful for our friendship.  Sending love and prayers to the family.

Larry was a living example of what it means to be a servant. At the International Convention in Nashville he was approached by a local Gideon who did not know him. Larry was very busy however when asked if he could deliver a large suitcase which had been left at the airport, he did not hesitate. He simply smiled, took the suitcase and left what he was doing to hand deliver the suitcase. He was never too busy to take time to serve others. Serving with Larry was a real privilege.  Doug Hughes

I'm a cousin of Larry's; his mother and mine were sisters. I found this photo in my mother's photo collection. It is of Larry & his sisters with our Grandma Leonard in 1941. L-R in the photo: Connie, Kay, Cheri, and Larry.

Larry and Eda K were so kind to me when I arrived from Guatemala to Oklahoma City at the age of 15 in 1976. They were a bright spot for me each Sunday morning and Wednesday night at Metropolitan. I'm so grateful for their open hearts and open home. I'm also grateful for decades of friendship with Philip and Jill. Warm blessings to Eda K and the whole Aspegren family.

The Cooper family loved “Chief” & your entire family. We all have great memories of International conventions. Prayers, love & peace to your family from ours.

Dear Eda K and Family

We are a long  distance from you at this moment but Anne and I are with you in spirit and remembering you in our thoughts and prayers.
The news we received of Larry's passing into glory is so sad , but of course we rejoice in the sure and certain knowledge that He is now , and will be for eternity , with the Lord and Saviour whom he loved and served.
So many wonderful memories of the time I served on the International Cabinet with him.  
He was a one-only and it was a great privilege for me to have served with him and our colleagues that were involved in the leadership of the Gideon Ministry in our era.
I am reminded of the words of Jesus in His High Priestly prayer in John 17:4 :-
“I have glorified You on the earth.
I have finished the work which You have given me to do.”

I think you would agree that these words summarise the life of my friend and fellow servant of the Gideon Ministry and the Lord Jesus Christ.
May God give you strength and peace and understanding at this challenging time in your lives.

Eda K our Prayers are for you and the Families Void in your life and his many Friends around The World. Praise The Lord for Larry’s  never ending work in Gideon Ministry around The World and all his Humble labor’s of love again around The World. Remember the Faith Fun Rally we had on NW Highway and a surprise snow storm tried to interpret Larry’s  program and we had to go to a overflow room.

Larry was truly a man that lived out the Holy Spirit that lived in him. 
Always positive, enthusiastic, optimistic, determined and persistent to accomplish the work that God had before him. 
He was an inspiration to me and many others and will be greatly missed. 
I know in my heart that he was greeted by God as he entered heaven with the words:  “ well done my good and faithful servant, enter into your rest”

Larry was a serious leader that believed we could  have fun while getting our work done effectively. Helping people understand what Jesus has done for all of us and giving them a chance to say yes or no to Jesus. He was a good leader and it was my pleasure to know and work with him. He liked my BBQ sauce too!

Every interaction that I had with Mr. Aspegren (Larry) was an absolute pleasure.  Her was full of energy and enthusiasm for life and exuding his love for the Lord.  He was truly a cup overflowing.  He will be missed by so many.  Sincere prayers for all of the family.   -Rob
