Kristy Etoy Farris

Kristy graduated from Gotebo High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Central Oklahoma – then known as Central State.

A strong advocate for teacher education, Kristy served as the Coordinator of Teacher Certification for the College of Education and The Professional Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma.

In her personal and professional life, Kristy embraced the value of an open mind and open heart toward all.

The role Kristy loved most was that of being a mother to her three daughters: Jessica Seitz of St. Louis, MO and Courtlyn Elkins and Hannah Elkins of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather Kathryn and Dale Shoop, brother Kirk Farris, sister and brother-in-law Karla and Shane McLaury, and son-in-law Ryan Fanning.

A memorial service for Kristy will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Casady School, 9500 N. Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73120.
