Kim Lorraine Giebler left this earth too soon on June 28, 2021. She was born October 11, 1956 in Fresno, California to Foy Alfred and Jenny JoAnn Douglas. Kim started her Oklahoma life in Clinton, Oklahoma, eventually moving closer to the city and graduated from John Marshall High School.
Kim was working as a bartender in Las Vegas and fate brought her and Mike together. Kim was Mike’s favorite bartender and they became inseparable. Over one July 4th weekend they made it official and then they married a little over two years later, September 28, 1999. They were the true meaning of soul mates.
Kim loved Halloween. That is when the decorating began at their house and continued throughout Christmastime. Kim and Mike were NASCAR fans and enjoyed going on trips with friends. She loved her Sooner Football and Dallas Cowboys even though their adversaries were Mike’s NY Giants. For Valentine’s Day, 2020, Kim bought Mike a top-of-the-line Harley Davidson motorcycle. It brought her joy, making others happy. Even after being together 24 years, they continued Friday Night Date night with one another.
Kim leaves to mourn her loss her soul mate and best friend, Mike Giebler; daughter Mary Alyse of Norman; stepdaughter Christine of Las Vegas, NV; stepson Fred of Las Vegas, NV; brother Larry Douglas and wife Cathy Douglas of Magnolia, TX; grandson Brakston; nieces Kristin Williams and Megan Shipley and her sweet shih tzu, Angel.
Please join the family for a time of sharing and celebrating Kim Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Food and drinks will be served. You may also go to Kim’s online memorial and leave your favorite memory of Kim.
