Kenny was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer at the age of 65. He and his medical team battled that cancer for almost 11 years. For this reason, he donated his remains to the OU Health Sciences Centers' Willed Body Program so cancer specialists may study what treatments allowed him to survive twice the known life expectancy. Doctors will also learn how his body responds to the variety of medications, infusions, bone marrow transplant, and other exhausting procedures performed on him. When such information is known, Kenny's suffering may help others beat this terrible disease. The OU College of Medicine accepts donations in support of their research. Donations should be payable to:
OU Foundation, Willed Body Program, BSEB 138, P.O. Box 26901, Oklahoma City, OK 73104
Special thanks to Dr. Brian Geister for his dedication and support over the passed 11 years and to all infusion nurses at the Integris Cancer Institute, we are most grateful.
