Keith Trout went home to Jesus on 12/14/21 at age 74. Keith was born to Jim and Beulah Trout on October 6, 1947 in Oklahoma City. Keith graduated from Northwest Classen in 1966 where he married Marsha Lowe and had one son; Keiffer Trout.
Jim Trout & his business partner Pete Martin started Alliance Plumbing & Heating Inc. where Keith worked his entire career. Eventually he became owner & President of Alliance Plumbing & Heating Inc. where he and his company worked on many well known landmarks. Some of his best accomplishments were the Devon Boathouse, Quail Springs Mall, Carl Albert Gymnasium, The Murrah Building Memorial and Touchmark at Coffee Creek.
Keith was active in all types of water sports. He loved to water ski, fish & have friends and family out at the boathouse on Lake Hiwassee. Dad loved striper fishing and of course camping out on the islands of Lake Texoma with our favorite cousins Mark & Jeff Vavera. Dad became a certified scuba diver when he was in his 30’s, going to Lake Tenkiller to dive only to find lawn mowers and sunglasses settled on the bottom.
An avid bowler, he and his bowling buddies tore up the 66 Lanes, numerous games of Space invaders & eventually the never ending Gin games.
Dad learned to love OU from Doll (Mom), numerous Saturdays the Trout’s and other Sooner fans from Twin Hills would travel to the OU games, eat box lunches and enjoy adult beverages, & of course the never ending Gin games. The annual OU texas weekend where Keith & his parents piloted Sooner fans to hotels, restaurants and eventually the Cotton Bowl; and again the never ending Gin games.
He enjoyed traveling to Lake Tahoe with his golf buddies, where he would play cards with the boys and hitting the links. He & his golf buddies spent numerous hours in the 19th hole at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club where they solved all the world issues and of course had their never ending Gin games.
He enjoyed nature; at one point he had over 80 acres and 30 head of cattle; all of which he named as if they were his pets. His horses were fun for him until Big Boy decided he didn’t want Keith on him anymore and bucked him into a fence. His dogs Rufus & Dog helped dad rule the farm land until he decided to move back to Oklahoma City.
My Dad was a basketball coach, a baseball coach, a bowling instructor, a football coach, a golf coach, a grill master, a plumbing journeyman instructor, a fishing guide, a driving instructor, a business advisor, a life coach and my best friend. He was a one of a kind and can never be replaced.
Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God. He spent many nights transcribing the bible, working hours on end to literally re-write the bible. His faith was strong and never wavered.
Keith joins his parents in Heaven. He is survived by his son Keiffer, wife Keya and grandson’s Kayden and Connor.
A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11:00am at Rose Hill Burial Park. in Oklahoma City, OK.
