She was born in Oklahoma City, OK, March 24th, 1968, to Sherron & Tracey Dorris. Karla was a talented and loving nurse who gave her heart to her patients as readily as to those she was closest to. She dedicated her career to caring for the most difficult types of patients; hospice care, those who suffered from Alzhiemer’s and other mental disorders. The high point of her career was having the honor of being responsible for the entire daily operations of a mental health care facility.
She loved to sing and enjoyed karaoke. Starbucks coffee was her favorite. She liked to spend time socializing with friends on various internet sites such as Facebook and enjoyed shopping. But most of all, she loved being a “Diva”!
Karla is survived by her daughter, Brittany Pixley; mother, Sherron Musgrave; sister, Kelli Sloan; nephews, Spencer and Morgan Bean; Aunt Betty Buswell; and many cousins and other extended family members and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 on May 21st at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel; graveside service and reception to follow.
Though she has passed from us and moved on to a better place, she will be missed and never forgotten by those she left behind.
