

Junevene Ruth Massad Jabara (June, Junie) passed away peacefully February 11, 2015 at the age of 90. She was born June 1, 1924 in Beggs, OK to Joseph and Foutha Mathey Massad. She met the love of her life, Eddie Farris Jabara, at a Lebanese convention where together they sang Cole Porter’s “Begin The Beguine." They married February 23, 1947 and spent 35 beautiful years together until he passed away in 1983. She loved to cook, spending hours whipping up Lebanese feasts for friends and family. Her greatest joy was tending to her garden, growing fresh herbs and vegetables. She also generously grew and donated holy basil to St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church for many years. Junie built a thriving career selling Bebe Cosmetics, going on to become a top Fuller Brush salesperson in Oklahoma City. She was the 8th child of 10 siblings, and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother (Sitti) and great-grandmother. She loved to play the piano and will be remembered for her warm laughter, incredible stories and fantastic sense of humor.
She is survived by: four children, Sherlyn Craig and husband Sam, Steven Jabara, Bryan Jabara and wife Barbara, Gina Jabara; five grandchildren, Ryan Craig and wife Kelly, Corey Craig, Kyle, Chad and Chase Jabara; great-grandson Colton Craig; siblings Floyd Massad, Anna Ogdee and Lillie Solomon; sister-in-law Norma Jabara. She was preceded in death by: husband, Eddie Jabara; parents, Joseph and Foutha Mathey Massad; siblings Josephine Toma, Isser Massad, Maxine Ganem, Nick Massad, Marshall Massad, Lena Hagale.
Services will be held in private. Donations may be made to the St. Elijah Orthodox Church, Flowers That Do Not Wither Fund.
