Judith Gail Wild, 78, of Edmond, OK, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024. Born on October 9, 1946, in Boston, MA, she was daughter to James Clinton Hamilton and Phyllis Eleanor Cowdrey. Judith is survived by her sister Barbara (Barry Mayer) and her loving husband of more than 50 years, Robert Allen Wild, and their cherished children: Keri (Stephen Chisholm), Jennifer (Jason Isley), Beth (Jeff Wymer), and Rob Wild
A proud graduate of the University of Missouri, Judith earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1969. Her dedication to women’s education led her to become a member of the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) for Women in 1968, where she served four consecutive years as President of Chapter FH. Judith was a passionate educator, teaching 8th grade and supporting her husband through medical school by working as a telephone operator.
Judith’s commitment to her community was evident through her involvement in various organizations, including attending Bible studies at the Church of the Servant, volunteering with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program, and serving as secretary at her local Presbyterian church in North Carolina. Her professional journey included roles as executive assistant to the president of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Science and as a medical staff office manager at Kindred Hospital, where she worked until her retirement.
A tireless volunteer and fantastic grandmother, Judith had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around her. She was known for her selflessness, positivity, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will never be forgotten by all who know her.
Judith is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Christopher, Ashley, Jordan, Rachel, Thomas, Abigail, Madeline, Katherine, and Brayden.
She will be dearly missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
