Joyce Ann Fuller, 80, of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away in Choctaw, Oklahoma, following an extended illness, on September 9, 2022. Joyce was born to Albert and Verda Swearingen in Oklahoma City on October 15, 1941. She was the youngest of three, with two brothers, Albert Eugene Swearingen and Marion Dean Swearingen. She graduated Choctaw High School in 1959 and went to work at the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City shortly after graduation. She married William “Bill” Eugene Fuller on February 10, 1964, in Norman, Oklahoma. They were married for forty years when he preceded her in death in 2004. She went to work at Ford Motor Credit Company shortly after her two children were born and worked there over thirty years, supporting her husband while he obtained his college education. Everyone who knew mom knew if there was a Texas Rangers baseball game, OU or OSU football game, Thunder basketball game or OU girls’ softball game on television, you better call before you came for a visit because she was going to be busy. She loved to travel and often talked about her many trips over the years, especially visiting Alaska and her friend Marcia in Illinois. She could never pass up shrimp, a good taco salad or a box of Cheerios, with Pepsi, or a glass of sweet tea. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers and a niece. She is survived by her son, William “Jeff” Fuller, her daughter and son in law, Jean and Steve Krieske, granddaughter Mallory Varner, grandson Austin Varner and partner, Sierra Blair, and great grandbabies, Emerson and William “Billy” Varner. She is also survived by a niece and nephew and several great nephews. Viewing will be Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 2-6pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home and the graveside remembrance service will be Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 10am at Arlington Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Fuller, Steve Krieske, Austin Varner, Steve Busby, David Bishop and Brian Swearingen. We would like to thank First Choice Hospice for the exemplary care shown to our mother and family.
