Over the years and miles, a man if he is blessed.. meets many awesome folks, and once in a while a special person comes to mind, ive been in nashville many many years i left Oklahoma over 20 years ao... but john ive always remembered. sad that i lost touch. he was a darn good man and a great AA member, jack propps nashville tn

John was always real and had a sense of humor.  I am sure Mike has some stuff planned for you to do when you get home I'll miss you but I know I will see you again

John - you were so instrumental in my sobriety.  I will always remember your soft spoken manner and great spirituality.  I always looked forward to seeing you at a meeting.  Keep the coffee hot for the rest of us until we meet again in the big AA meeting in heaven.

John, my good friend for almost 30 years, even when I moved far away, we still shared the same dream, walked the same walk, lived the same happy destiny. You helped me when I could hardly help myself. I remember that you were a fine athlete, deceptively agile on the softball field. You were a gifted speaker, and a sharp wit. You used that low key delivery on speaker nights to get the biggest laughs in the history of the Western Club. 

Back when we had nothing better to do, we took road trips. Here is a picture of us at Cape Canaveral in 1982. We probably didn’t have 50 bucks between us, but somehow managed to see a big part of the country, traveling light, staying with friends and relatives, and going to meetings. Those were good times. 

Now you have moved on. I see that you are not in pain, just sitting in your favorite chair, having a smoke, lemon cookies on the table, watching the Sooners on TV. You have your old voice back and laugh that great laugh, and you are at peace. 

So long, brother. See you down the road.

John was probably the most genuine and consistently caring person I have known. Always a friend and good to be around. He will be greatly missed by many. I know I was blessed to have had the time with him.

Thank you John for being in your chair at the C.C. when I needed some hope.

John was a friend for too many years to remember.As a telephone repairman we often worked in the same vicinity.He was a good man and I'm sorry he is gone,grateful that his suffering finished.My deepest sympathy in the time of your sorrow.
