Joanne Wasland

Jo Anne Wasland, 77, passed away September 26, 2019 at her home in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Born December 29, 1941 in Elk City, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Aubry Frank Redburn and Phyllis Nadine (Wild) Redburn. JoAnne was a former longtime bookkeeper working in accounting for many years. She loved her dogs and was especially fond of her “Yorkies”. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, crocheting, and working jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Preceding her in death were her parents, Aubry Redburn and Phyllis Redburn Dearmon, and one daughter, Debra Kay Wasland. Survivors include her two daughters, Sheila Wasland and her wife, Rachel of Cleburne, Texas, and Lisa and her husband Mike Selman of Blanchard, Oklahoma, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Brandon Wasland and Sharon Mosier, Cody and Christina Selman, Chance Selman and Alex Austin, Derek Selman and Micayla Austin, Shane Smith, and Waylon Smith, 5 great-grandchildren, Tanner and Ariana Wasland, Caden Tillman, Madelyn Austin and Elliott Austin. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Kolb Cemetery, Spencer, Oklahoma with Mike Selman officiating. Burial will follow in Kolb Cemetery, Spencer, Oklahoma.
