Joan was born in Aylsham, England March 11, 1938. She worked mostly as a nanny in England and in the United States. Joan went to a small village school. She came to the United States in 1961. Then later traveled abroad to Europe, then returned to the United States to start her family.
Joan loved to garden and would spend countless hours tending to her flowers. She seemed to have a different favorite flower every day. Whoever came over she would have them walk through her English garden.
Preceding Joan in death are her parents Ernst and Martha Medler of Norfolk, England and sister Margaret Franklin of Norwich, England.
She is survived by Jim Turner, who she shared her life with for over forty years. Son John Clark and wife Diane of Oklahoma City, son James Clark of Oklahoma City. Joan is also survived by her granddaughter Christina Clark of Yukon, Oklahoma, brother John Medler and his wife Jean of Norwich, England, brother –in-law Bill Franklin of Norwich, England, two nieces Alison Field and Jennifer Franklin, three nephews Gary Medler, Nigel Medler, and Miles Franklin, and five great nieces and nephews all of Norfolk, England.
Anyone who knew Joan will never forget her and will cherish her forever. Thank God for Joan.

A visitation for Joan will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162. A funeral service will occur Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
