Jo graduated Merkel High School and furthered her education at Abilene Business College. With the skills she obtained, she worked at Oklahoma City Abstract and Title Company as a loan closer. She continued working every day at OCA and retired on her 80th birthday.
Jo and her husband Tom were members of Quail Springs Baptist Church and Jo was a Sunday school teacher for 55 years. She was an excellent cook and her specialties were pastry cookie pies and cakes. She would fill any of her extra time with shopping.
Jo was happy to spend any moment with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; cheering them on with their accomplishments.
She was always dressed to the “nines” and loved her sparkly jewelry. She loved her husband, Tom, dearly and finally is now with him again.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tom Wallace, brother Wilburn Hannah, Jr. and sister Robbie Hannah.
She is survived by her children Steve Wallace and his wife Sue Wallace of Phoenix, AZ, Patti Wallace Dennis and husband Tim Dennis of Lakewood, Colorado, her loving grandchildren Dustin Wallace, Brandon Wallace, Tawny Vessey; Tori Kessler, seven great grandchildren, 3 nieces and one nephew and Jo’s best friend Vonna Garrett.
