She was born in Enid, OK on November 14, 1947. Jimmie Lou graduated from Classen High School. She would go on to meet Robert Lee Raibourn, and the two were happily married on February 12, 1971. Jimmie Lou had a career spanning 30 plus years as a stenographer for what is currently known as the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) – Disability Determination Services.
Jimmie Lou had a passion of crocheting afghans and giving them away as gifts. She loved being involved in her grandchildren’s lives. She was so proud of their personal growth and accomplishments towards their individual goals.
Jimmie Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Billie Marie (Hunt) and Olen James Smith; older brother, John Patrick Burke; and her loving husband, Robert Lee Raibourn.
She is survived by her Son, Darin Lee Raibourn and wife Tracie Lorraine; Grandsons, Dalton Lee Raibourn and Logan Riley Raibourn; Sister, Betty Ann Cabrera; Brother and Sister-in-Laws, Sharon Burke, Lorene Almquist, Lloyd Raibourn, Larry Raibourn, Lois Christopher, and Louis Raibourn; And numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Jimmie on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at 10:30 am at Edmond First Church of the Nazarene located at 3001 S Blvd in Edmond, OK.
