Jimmie Stephen Edwards of Oklahoma City was 73. He went to be with the Angels on August, 11, 2022. Born in Oklahoma City on July 20, 1949, to loving parents Jim M. and Katie V. “Skipworth” Edwards. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sue V. Asher. Jim is survived by wife, Sally Edwards; daughter, Katie and her husband, Joshua Pankowsky; son, Jimmie S. Edwards II; and grandson, Joshua. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins to honor his memory. Jim attended Putnam City Org High School. He was in the Army for a year and the Army National Reserves for 4 years and was honorably discharged as a Specialist Six USAR. Jim worked in the automotive business all his life, and was a member of The Automotive Boosters Club for many years. His #1 love was his family, golf, fishing, and coaching little league baseball. Jim married his angel, Sally Ann Couser on July 28, 1972. They were married for 50 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s name to the American Cancer Society. There will be a Scottish Wake planned by the family at a later date.
