Jerry Carol West was born February 17th, 1939, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 25th, 2022.
Jerry had a beautiful spirit, loved the Lord and never met a stranger. She worked as a book keeper for many years before going back to college to get a degree in recreational therapy. Jerry worked with seniors through the Salvation Army and the veterans at the V. A. hospital. Jerry also volunteered with No Boundaries Int., helping those in need and homeless. She loved the African community in Oklahoma and would have loved to travel there one day. She was one of a kind.
Jerry is preceded in death by her mother Ruby Gray-Cook and father Oscar Cook. Jerry leaves behind 2 sisters; Betty Kitt of Lake Charles LA and Jeanette Smith of Vancouver WA. She will be forever in the heart of her daughter Deborah Mangrum, granddaughter’s Ashley Marshall and Uzima Mangrum, great grandchildren Guy-Thomas and Arlo Marshall, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
Jerry may have been a mother to Deborah, but she was “Mom” to many, many others.
