Jerry Dewayne Cannon, age 77, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Jerry was born in Lubbock, TX. A celebration of life for Jerry will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Sunnylane Family Church, 4221 SE 41st St, Del City, OK 73115.
Jerry Dewayne Cannon, 77, died on January 7, 2023 in Norman, OK.
In 1993, Jerry married Kathy Burleson Cannon, after the passing of his first wife, Phyllis Hopson. Kathy and Jerry were married for 14 years.
Born in Lubbock, Texas, he was the son of JD Cannon and Rhuia Gilmore. Jerry graduated from Midwest City High School and was a proud Bomber alumnus. He then attended Oklahoma Military Academy, where he played football. He worked as an RV salesman for many years. Employed at Lee’s RV and then McClain’s RV, Jerry later started his own business selling recreational vehicles.
Jerry was a member of Sunnylane Family Church in Del City, Oklahoma. He enjoyed watching and talking about football, golfing, his horses, and spending time with family. He will be remembered for his unfaltering support of those he loved and the road trips he loved to take.
Jerry is survived by Kathy Cannon, son Mark Yeager and wife Laura, daughter Sydney Cannon, grandchildren Ashley Clark, James Kirk, Kaylee Yeager, Kyle Yeager, and Linsey Yeager, great-grandchildren Ayden Clark, Madeline Clark, and Sutton Wait, sister Donna Carroll, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents JD Cannon and Rhuia Gilmore, sister Barbara McMahan and brother Ron Roberts, and wife Phyllis Hopson.
