Jennie Lee Woods

Jennie L. Woods, 75 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away September 3, 2017 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born March 12, 1942 in Madill, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Odie Sharp. Jennie was a longtime legal secretary at the Oklahoma Dept. of Human Services. A strong Christian Lady, she loved to pray; reading; politics; music of all genres; the New York Yankees; and all sports, football and baseball especially where she always cheered her son on in the sports activities, and her daughter in all of her music endeavors. Jennie was a “Dyed in the Wool” dedicated Democrat and loved cats helping to find homes for over 40 stray cats over the years. She was preceded in death by her mother; and 1 brother, Richard Sharp. Survivors include 1 son, Andy and his wife Kim Woods of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Laura Woods-Roller and her husband Frankie Roller of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and 2 grandchildren, Nathan Woods and Maegan Woods. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church, 11498 NE 10th St., Choctaw, OK 73020 with burial following at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
