Jeffrey Rock

Jeffrey Rock was born in Philadelphia, PA, July 23, 1947 to Paul and Ann Rock. The family moved to Oklahoma City when Jeffrey was 6 months old. After graduating from Putnam City High School, Jeffrey’s undergraduate studies were at the University of Oklahoma with a major in Political Science. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1969 and then attended law school at the Ohio State University. After graduating from law school in 1972, Jeffrey worked at Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C. During the 32 years of working at HUD (with an expertise in the Freedom of Information act) and living in the D.C. area, he developed many friendships. He retired in 2004.

He loved college sports and had a particular interest in watching University of Oklahoma football games and attended many watch parties in the D.C. area. Jeffrey also developed an interest in genealogy and was able to create a family tree that went back 4 generations.

Jeffrey moved from Alexandria, Virginia to Stillwater, Oklahoma in 2023 and shared a beautiful home with his sister. In the time since moving back to Oklahoma, he was able to enjoy the company of family.

Jeffrey was predeceased by his parents, and brother-in-law Gene Trammell. He is survived by sister Janell Trammell, brother Michael (Kathi), nephew Steven Trammell (Charles Gibson), nephew Marc Trammell (Shaina), great niece Peyton and great nephew Grayson.

Jeffrey donated to many charitable organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeffrey may be designated to the charity of your choice.

We are most appreciative to the nursing staff, attending physicians and consulting physicians at Ascension St. John Hospital in Tulsa for their care provided to Jeffrey.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 1:00 pm at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116, with graveside services to immediately follow at Emanuel Hebrew Cemetery Oklahoma City, 10600 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73170.
