CARPENTER, Jeanne Merritt Nall, 90, of Oklahoma City, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 13, 2013. She was born February 26, 1922, in St. Louis, MO, to Charles and Rena Nall. She was married to Ayres B. Carpenter October 26, 1946, in St. Louis.
They moved to Oklahoma City in 1949. Jeanne was the mother of two sons, a homemaker, and legal file clerk at the law firm of Felix, Bowman, McIntire and McDivitt for many years. She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church in downtown Oklahoma City since 1952.
She is survived by her son, Richard Carpenter of the home; John Carpenter and his wife, Lynn, of Bartlesville, OK; granddaughters, Laura Bartholomew and her husband, Issac, of Castle Rock, CO; Marjorie March and her husband, Jeff, of Bartlesville OK; great grandson, Caleb Carpenter; great granddaughters, Avery and Autumn Bartholomew; and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and husband, Ayres.
Jeanne's memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, January 17, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, 131 NW 4th St , Oklahoma City, OK 73102. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to the church.
