Jared David Chambers, 32, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 30, 2024. While his passing leaves us with questions we may never answer, we find comfort in trusting that his journey was part of God’s plan.
Jared was born on August 15, 1992, the cherished third child of Joani Olson and David Chambers. His grandfather Jack often joked that Jared's was the only birthday he could remember—a tradition of teasing that Jared welcomed with his characteristic smile. Jared grew up in Edmond, OK, where he attended Edmond Memorial High School and excelled as captain of the football team. His love for the game took him to Fort Hays College, where he continued playing football with pride and determination. Jared was a hard worker who shared a generational love of driving trucks with his grandfather, Jack Hodges, and later worked side by side with his father, David Chambers.
Jared embraced life’s simple joys. Whether he was teeing off on the golf course, spending sun-soaked weekends at the lake, or relaxing with his girlfriend, Gabbye, Jared found happiness in every moment. Music was a constant in his life—his AirPods were rarely out of reach. He loved sharing songs with family and friends, often playing a favorite track on repeat. His love of animals was unmatched, and his dogs, Bobbi and Charlie, were his pride and joy, always by his side for walks and adventures. To know Jared was to experience his warmth and light. His genuine smile and quick laughter were gifts he gave freely to everyone he met. Despite his battles, Jared continued to shine brightly, leaving a lasting impression on his family, friends, and even those he encountered briefly.
Jared has been reunited in Heaven with his brother and best friend, Jack, and we take solace in knowing they are together once again, resting in peace. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Judy Hodges; his aunt, Debbie Chambers Smith; and his brother, Jack Chambers.
Jared is survived by his loving parents, Joani and Steve Olson, and David Chambers; his grandparents, Dewey and Barbara Chambers; his sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Adam Fields; his nephew, Jack Fields; his sister, Erin Olson; his brother and fiancé, Samuel Chambers and Alyssa Nation; his sister-in-law, Loni Chambers; and his nieces, Lainey Marquez, Linlee Marquez, and Livia Chambers, along with countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
A visitation for Jared will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the family present from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 731161298. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper.
