Janice Irene, 79, OKC, born June 25, 1935 died Monday at her daughter’s home in North Richland Hills, Texas. She and her husband retired from their insurance business in 1980. She was a member of the United Church of God of OKC, where she made many good friends. She enjoyed reading scriptures and religious material, traveling, and visiting with all of her friends. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben & Flossie Freeland and her husband, L. H. “Whitey” Burton. She is survived by 1 daughter, Debbie Howard-Ensminger and her husband, Jim, of N. Richland Hills, TX; 1 sister, Colleen Collins of OKC, 3 nieces, Linda Miller and husband, Tony, of OKC; Sandy Lovelace of Mustang, OK; and Vicki Anderson and husband, Roger, of Mississippi; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 step-daughters, Rose Burke and Martha Haney and 1 step-son, David Burton. She is also survived by ther love of her life, her grand-dog, Chelsea.
There will be a visitation service Wednesday, September 17, from 6-8 p.m. at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd St., OKC, OK. All family and friends are welcome. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 18, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memory Gardens located at 8801 NW Expressway, OKC, OK with Mr. Mark Welch officiating, directed by Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home.
